Muddymind, a pottery inspo app for moving beyond creative blocks
After struggling to find inspiration in my pottery journey and realizing others face the same challenge, I designed Muddymind, a pottery inspiration app that encourage potters to explore new forms, learn about cultural roots of ceramics, and shape their creative voices.

"I don't know what to make"
Feeling uninspired while being surrounded by endless inspiration is a common creative dilemma, and pottery is no exception. Through conversations with 3 potters and my own experience, I uncovered 4 key reasons why we feel stuck in the creative process. If left unresolved, what begins as a passion can easily turn into discouragement or even a complete lost of interest.

After speaking with potters across 3 skill levels and exploring their creative processes, I found that while their pain points differ, every potter inevitably faces moments where inspiration feels out of reach.

The Pottery Class Paradox shows that focusing on quantity of work is a more effective path to mastering a skill than focusing on single-piece perfection. This idea inspired me to create Muddymind to help potters enjoy the process, keep making, and grow their craft along the way.

After speaking with potters across different skill levels and learning about their creative processes, I identified the real causes behind creative blocks—and more importantly, what potters actually need to stay inspired and continue growing in their craft.
